Henry Archer was the primary developer of the first warp engine capable of reaching warp five, and one of the principal designers of United Earth Warp Program. Archer worked extensively with Zefram Cochrane. He married his long-time girlfriend Sally Tremaine and was also the father of noted United Earth Starfleet captain and later Interstellar Coalition admiral, Jonathan Archer.
Through the hard work and petitioning of Archer and Cochrane, the Warp Physics Complex was opened on Luna in 2119, just a few weeks before Cochrane's disappearance.
Henry had Clarke's Syndrome. He experienced hallucinations and died when Jonathan was 12-years old (approximately 2124).
His paternal grandfather, Nathan Archer, was a captain in the United States Marines who served in Middle East during the War on Terror.
Due to a temporal event, Henry was the forebearer of two later generations who carried his name, making him Henry Archer I. His grandson Henry II was born to his son Jonathan and his Inkaaran wife Esilia Tv'eln. Henry II and his wife J'mari Suven also named their first born son Henry III.
